Install RezeptSuite Desktop safely

RezeptSuite Desktop is not currently signed with a publisher certificate. Windows and macOS may therefore display a security warning when you first open it. Download the application only from rezeptsuite.de and compare the SHA256 checksum if needed.

What the warning means: The operating system cannot automatically verify the publisher. The warning by itself does not mean that malware was detected. A matching SHA256 checksum confirms that your file is identical to the file published here.

Windows

SmartScreen: “Windows protected your PC”

Download Windows installer

    Run the installer

    Open the downloaded file InstallRezeptSuite.exe.

    Show details

    In the blue SmartScreen message, click “More info”.

    Continue installation

    Check the file name and click “Run anyway”. Then follow the installer.

Why does this message appear? SmartScreen evaluates signals including a file signature and reputation. Because the installer is currently unsigned, Windows displays “Unknown publisher”. In managed corporate networks, a policy may prevent users from continuing.

Uninstall RezeptSuite on Windows

Open Windows Settings and select “Apps” → “Installed apps”. Find RezeptSuite and select “Uninstall”.

macOS

Gatekeeper: Apple cannot check RezeptSuite for malicious software

Download macOS installer

    Install the app

    Open RezeptSuite.dmg and drag RezeptSuite to the Applications folder.

    Open the app once

    Try to open RezeptSuite from the Applications folder, then close the warning by clicking “Done”.

    Open the approval setting

    Open “System Settings” → “Privacy & Security” and scroll to the “Security” section.

    Confirm launch

    Next to the blocked RezeptSuite app, click “Open Anyway” and then confirm by clicking “Open”.

On older macOS versions, right-clicking RezeptSuite → “Open” may provide the same one-time approval. Otherwise, use the “Privacy & Security” method described above.

Move RezeptSuite from the Applications folder to the Trash.

Linux

Install the DEB package

Download Linux package

Open the downloaded package with your distribution software manager, or install it from the terminal on Debian and Ubuntu:

Remove the installed package using the software manager or with sudo apt remove rezeptsuite.

Verify the file

Compare the SHA256 checksum

Calculate the checksum of your downloaded file and compare all 64 characters with the value for your operating system. If the values do not match exactly, do not run the file and download it again from rezeptsuite.de.
